Steps to Unlock Bosch Cooktop
Hello there! Don't worry, dear if you've felt anxious because you couldn't use your Bosch cooktop as it has been locked. It's completely normal to feel that way. However, relax because there's a simple solution; you just need to follow these easy steps I'll guide you through (remember to check your cooktop model):
- Identify the lock button (usually marked with a key or lock icon) and press it for at least 3 seconds.
- You should now hear a beep indicating that the cooktop has been unlocked.
Always remember to have the user manual with you or stored in a folder or case. In some Bosch models, the lock button is labeled for child safety as "child lock." And don't despair; we know that with a locked cooktop, you can only turn it on and off, but as soon as you unlock it, you can enjoy cooking with your Bosch cooktop again.
Bosch Cooktop Models that These Steps Apply To
The steps mentioned above are applicable to the majority of Bosch ceramic hobs and induction cooktops. However, we provide the following list where we are confident that the aforementioned steps work perfectly, and your cooktop might be one of these:
- Series 8: PXV875DC1E, PXE875DC1E, PKE875DC1E, PUE875DC1E, PXE875DV1E, PKE875DV1E, PUE875DV1E
- Series 6: PXE675DC1E, PKE675DC1E, PUE675DC1E, PXE675DV1E, PKE675DV1E, PUE675DV1E
- Series 4: PXE475DC1E, PKE475DC1E, PUE475DC1E
Some Bosch models have the unlock function associated with the "Clean" feature, just in case the previous steps didn't work for you. It's as simple as pressing it for several seconds until you hear the familiar beep, and the cooktop will be unlocked.
If you have more questions, we always recommend consulting the machine's instruction manual. We suggest storing it securely, as these machines are designed to last for several years, and manuals tend to get misplaced over time. If the issue is more significant, you can contact an official Bosch service technician specializing in your area.
