F07 Error on Hotpoint Dishwashers
Table of contents
What the F07 error usually means on a Hotpoint dishwasher
The F07 error on Hotpoint dishwashers is usually related to the heating circuit or the control system that manages it. In practice, the appliance detects that it is not heating the water as expected and may stop the cycle to protect itself.
The most common symptoms are:
- The programme takes longer than usual or stops halfway through
- The wash ends with poor results and no sign of hot water
- The code always appears at a similar point in the programme
How to clear F07 and what to check before calling technical service
With F07, you can first rule out a temporary fault and confirm that the dishwasher is filling properly. If the error repeats, it usually means the heating system needs technical inspection.
- Complete power reset
- Turn off the dishwasher
- Unplug it from the power supply for 5 minutes
- Plug it back in and test a standard programme
- Check that water filling is correct
- Make sure the tap is open, water pressure is normal, and the inlet filter is clean
- Poor filling can cause abnormal cycles and faults linked to heating
- Avoid using an intensive cycle for the first test
- If the fault appeared on the “intensive” cycle, try a normal cycle
- If it happens again in the same way, that confirms the fault is consistent
- When it is advisable to call technical service/a technician
- F07 reappears after the full reset
- The dishwasher does not complete programmes or always stops when heating
- The problem repeats over several cycles
In that case, the heating system is usually checked (heater/heating element, sensor, and related control system)
If F07 happened only once, the reset may solve it. If it keeps coming back, the most efficient solution is a heating-system diagnosis to restore stable washing cycles
